With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parlcer calied the City
Council Worlc Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order 1:31 p.m. on Tuesday,
August 19, 2025, in the City Council Worlc Session Room of the Foi�t Worth City Hall,
100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas.

a. Upcoming and Recent Events
There were no upcoming and recent events.
b. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
City Manager Chapa advised that Jessica Rogers has been hired as the new Economic
Development Director and she wiil start work in September 2025.

City Manager Chapa called on:
• Kevin Gunn, IT Solutions Director, to recognize IT Solutions and Property
Management Teams for receiving the Best of Texas Award in the Category of
Best Worlcforce/Workplace initiative for its successful City Hall - Retrofit and
Move Project.
• Midori Clarlc, Library Director, introduced Sherry Knight as a new Library
Assistant Director.
• Kacey Bess, Neighborhood Services Director, introduced Keisha Light as the
new Neighborhood Services Assistant Director.
• Marilyn Marvin, Property Management Director, introduced Stuart Young as the
new Property Management Assistant Director.
• Sana Syed, Interim Chief Conununications Officer, introduced Sharon Ganlble
as the new Communications & Public Engagement Assistant Director. She also
recognized the staff fi•om Communications and Public Engagement and Code
Coinpliance for receiving various TAMIO Awards.
• Holly Moyer, Interim Human Resources Director, introduced Joaiine Hinton as
the new Human Resources Assistant Director. She also introduced Lead the
Experience Graduates, an in-house Executive Leadership Program.

25-0096 City Facilities and Ainericans Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance -
Marilyn Marvin, Property Management Director
Marilyn Marvin, Property Management Director, provided a staff report.
Council Member Nettles aslced how the facilities that are not ADA compliant
and are grandfathered in will be fixed.

Marilyn Marvin advised that the facilities that are grandfathered in are being
worlced as requested. She added that a plan is being created for the community
centers and libraries that will be completed October 31, 2025, with a priority list
and a timeline of how staff will talce care of all the grandfathered items to bring
them up to current ADA standards. She stated of the rest of the general fund
buildings that are grandfathered, a plan will be completed by February 16, 2026.
Council Member Becic requested that staff loolc at which facilities on the pr�iority
list are voting locations.
Mayor Parlcer requested the chai�t contained in the IR be updated to reflect the
year that each of the buildings were dedicated.

Council Member Lauersdorf requested an Informal Report explaining the collaboration
between Transportation and Public Works and the Police regarding traffic enforcement,
especially in high threat areas/corridors.

Council Member Becico requested a presentation on the use of Interest Earnings and City
Hall expenditures.

Sister City.
