AUTHORIZING THE RETENTION OF THE LAW FIRM OF BAKER &
HOSTETLER LLP AS OUTSIDE LEGAL COUNSEL FOR
EMPLOYMENT MATTERS
WHEREAS, from time to time the City of Fort Worth (City) is in need of short-
term assistance on legal issues for employment matters for which it is necessary to seek outside
legal counsel with expertise in employment law;
WHEREAS, City desires that the law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP be retained to assist
and represent the City in employment matters where such outside legal counsel is needed;
WHEREAS, the law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP possesses the required knowledge
and expertise to assist the City with its employment matters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT:
The City is authorized to retain the law firm of Baker & Hostetler LLP as outside legal
counsel pursuant to Chapter VI, §3 of the City Charter, for legal services related to employment
matters, in an amount up to $10,000.00.
