The above referenced Contract with the City of Fort Worth expired on November 30, 2025
(the "Expiration Date"). Pursuant to the terms of the Contract, renewals are at the sole option of
the City. This letter is to inform you that the City is exercising its right to renew the Contract for
an additional one (1) year period, which will begin on December 1, 2025 and end on November
30, 2026. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain unchanged.
Please return this signed acknowledgement letter, along with a copy of your current
insurance certificate, to the address set forth below, acknowledging receipt of the Contract
Renewal Notice. Failure to provide the written acknowledgment does not affect the renewal
of this Agreement.

America, Inc. for a To tal Annual Amount of Up to $300,000.00 for Waterway and
Watershed Engineering Consulting Services Required to Comply with State and Federal
Environmental Regulations and Authorize Four One-Year Renewal Options for the Same
Annual Amount
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of a professional services
agreement with Atkins North America, Inc. for a total annual amount of up to $300,000.00 for waterway
and watershed engineering consulting services and authorize four one-year renewal options.
DISCUSSION:
This professional services agreement will provide waterway and watershed engineering consulting
services. Related services include, but are not limited to, hydrologic modeling, pollutant load modeling
and analysis, structural controls, permitting, technical expertise, watershed analysis, and engineering
design of pollution control systems to meet site needs. This agreement will also provide specialized
services as necessary to ensure projects meet all regulatory requirements.
A Request for Qualifications was advertised on September 4th, 11th, and 18th, 2022. The City
received one responsive submittal from Atkins North America, Inc. on October 6, 2022. The submittal
from Atkins North America, Inc. was reviewed and selected based on demonstrated competence and
qualifications as provided in the statement of qualifications in accordance with Chapter 2254 of the
Te xas Government Code.
The Code Compliance Department anticipates spending $300,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2023 and funds
are available within the existing appropriations for these expenditures.
RENEWAL OPTIONS -This agreement may be renewed for up to four successive one-year terms at
the City's option. Renewal may be affected by notice in writing by the City Manager, or his designee,
to the contractor within 30 days of the expiration of the prior term. This action does not require
specific City Council approval, provided that the City Council has appropriated sufficient funds to
satisfy the City's obligations during the renewal term.
Atkins North America, Inc. is in compliance with the City's Business Equity Ordinance by committing to
6\% Business Equity participation on this project. The City's Business Equity goal on this project is
6\%.
This agreement serves the entire City in ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget, as
appropriated, of the Environmental Protection Fund. Prior to an expenditure being made, the Code
Compliance Department has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
