PETERSON PATE SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 1202
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS
FS-25-XXX
AUGUST2025
City of Fort Worth, Texas
Mayor and Council Communication
DATE: 11/18/25 M&C FILE NUMBER: M&C 25-1064
LOG NAME: 06VA-25-010 BOURINE STREET
SUBJECT
(CD 7) Adopt Ordinance Vacating a Portion of Bourine Street Between Byers Avenue and Westover Court, to be Replatted with the Adjoining
Property for Future Expansion of an Existing Single -Family Residence, and Waive Any and All Purchase Fee Value of the Vacated Land in
Accordance with City Policy
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt an ordinance vacating a portion of Bourine Street between Byers Avenue and Westover Court, to be replatted with the adjoining
property for future expansion of an existing single-family residence; and
2. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City policy.
DISCUSSION:
Baird, Hampton & Brown, on behalf of Jason Hoisager, has requested a vacation of a right of way located on a portion of Bourine Street between
Byers Avenue and Westover Court, to be replatted with the adjoining property for future expansion of an existing single-family residence. The City
Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its August 20, 2025 meeting. An acceptable final plat (FS-25-132) has been received
in accordance with the Subdivision Ordinance.
The City of Fort Worth (City) originally obtained the identified right-of-way through plat dedication. The City does not own any fee interest in the
right-of-way or own any property adjacent to the right-of-way and did not expend any City funds to obtain the right-of-way. In accordance with the
City's policy regarding street and alley vacation transactions (Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) G-15624), staff recommends waiving the
purchase price of this right-of-way.
