SUBJECT: NOVEMBER 2025 REPORT ON THE RELEASE OF AREA FROM
eIVIA THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION (ETJ) BY PETITION
OF LANDOWNER OR RESIDENT
The purpose of this Informal Report is to provide information on the requested Extraterritorial
Jurisdiction (ETJ) releases received and subsequently released for the month of November 2025.
The details for November are shown on the accompanying table on page 2 and depicted on the
map on page 3.
Since the enactment of Subchapter D, Chapter 42, Texas Local Government Code on September
1, 2023, the City has received a total of 195 petitions. A 12-month graph on page 4 reflects the
number of eligible petitions released from December 2024 through November 2025. Eighteen
petitions received prior to December 1, 2025, were either deemed incomplete, ineligible or
withdrawn. For November 2025, the City received 3 eligible petitions. Thus, from September 2023
to now, 177 eligible ETJ petitions have released approximately 5,344.86 acres within the City's
ETJ.
