Home My WebLink About061189-A5 - Construction-Related - Contract - CDM Smith Inc.CSC No. 61189-A5 AMENDMENT No . 5 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 61189 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and CDM Smith Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 61189, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 24-0172 on the 27th day of February, 2024 in the amount of $ 3,695,990.00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $ 0.00 which was administratively authorized on July 16, 2024, Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $11,149,078.00 which was authorized by M&C 24-0729 on August 27, 2024, Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $0.00 administratively authorized on March 5, 2025, and Amendment No. 4 in the amount of $6,249,236.00 authorized by M&C 25-0715 on August 12, 2025; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant Expansion, CPN 105176; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 5 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $ 80,115. 00. 2. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $21,174,419.00. 3. All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. CDM Smith is pleased to submit our Amendment No. 5 for the City's Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant Phase IV Expansion — Project No. 105176 to perform design, bid phase and construction phase services to provide electrical drawings and specifications to install the starters and related electrical upgrades to connect new pumps and motors at the high service pump stations at Rolling Hills WTP and Eagle Mountain WTP. The following Task 11.1 Rolling Hills and Eagle Mountain HSP Electrical Support will be added to the contract: 1. Electrical design only for a new high service pump at Rolling Hills and Eagle Mountain that includes one electronic draft submittal for City review and one final submittal for specifications and plans during the Design Phase. It is anticipated that the following information will be supplied: Site Plan, Ductbank Schedule, One-Line Diagram, Pump Station Power Plan, Interface Diagram, Electrical Specifications, and Standard Details. Further one additional site visit to each site is included in the design phase of the project. 2. The City will obtain quotes for completing the electrical work. The scope assumes review of the City provided quotes for review and the Engineer will answer any technical questions that may arise during this process. 3. Construction phase support includes reviewing additional shop drawings, requests for information (RFIs), operation and maintenance manuals, and two additional field visits to witness testing as necessary. Record Drawings will be provided at the end of construction. 4. The scope does not include Record Drawings, construction pay application review, or any permitting activities associated with Construction. The City shall provide relevant CAD backgrounds showing the existing devices and equipment in CAD format. This is exclusive of the $250,000 allowance that will remain unused. The attached fee proposal table developed for the additional scope of work. The requested fee for Amendment 5 is $ 80,115.00. Please note that this amendment increases Task 11 from $250,000 to $330,115 leaving the original $250,000 allowance unused.
