AN�NDMENT No .1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 60501
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and James DeOtte Engineering,
Inc. (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.
60501, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 23-0978 on the 14tn
day of November, 2023 in the amount of $ 622,350.00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following
project:
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 121, CPN 104973; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which
amends the CONTRACT:
1.
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated
he�li�.cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer totals $83,375.00. (Water: $30,785.00; Sewer: $52,590.00)
2.
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $ 705,725.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

The City's adjacent project to relocate a portion of M-191 into South Hughes Avenue
and needing more depth at the connection at Avenue J. To provide for this, our
replacement design of L-3308 needed to be lowered and also extended further south
to include the replacement design of L-3817 to gain the needed lower elevation
along with upsizing the existing 6" sewer line to an 8" sewer line. This south sewer
extension will also extend our water line replacement design limits as it will be
disturbed where the sewer line will bend and cross water line.
2. The City's TPW TxDOT Oakland Miller Safe Streets project that will be placed along the
same segment of Miller where our proposed water and sewer replacement design
will be constructed. Per the City's wishes, at the time of construction for our project,
the TPW installed pavement markings and bike lane curbs will be replaced.
Due to the additional services that are outside the scope of the existing contracted
agreements that have been requested by the City to be performed as part of the
referenced project, JDEI will perform the work outlined in the following:
Additional services shall include:
1. Additional time on the agreement that extends the number of months by 15 months.
2. Additional survey and design of 205 LF of L-3817 sewer line.
3. Additional design of 120 LF of water line.
4. Additional 3 easements for L-3817.
5. Additional pavement marking sheets.

The specific tasks to be accomplished with this Amendment are outlined within the
attached Level of Effort spreadsheet.
JDEI anticipates the fees listed above for the various elements of the project to be a not
to exceed amount of $83,375.00. All costs, associated with the identified scope of work,
will be lump sum for the scope provided and will be billed as a percentage of completed
work as determined by JDEI.
This scope of work assumes any services not specifically listed as part of this contract will
be treated as an additional service. The owner will be notified before any additional
services are performed.
