With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City
Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order 1:03 p.m. on Tuesday,
January 6, 2026, in the City Council Work Session Room of the Fort Worth City Hall,
100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas.

Worth Stock Show and Rodeo President and General Manager, to announce
the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and present the Council with their
badges.
• Brian Daugherty, Director of Code Compliance Department, for naming of the
North Animal Campus in honor of Henry.
• Dana Burghdoff, Assistant City Manager, to recognize United Way Department
Coordinators.

5. Presentation on Library and Community Center Gallery Space - Midori
Clark, Library Director
Presentation was provided by Midori Clark, Library Director.
• Council Member Hall recommended including local artists or groups in the
discussions to get their feedback on what is needed.
• Council Member Martinez recommended including City Hall as a possible location
for art displays.
• Council Member Lauersdorf requested that the selection process for the Public Art
Program be reviewed to provide more opportunities for local artists to participate
in the Program.
• Mayor Pro Tem Flores recommended talking to Artes de la Rosa about serving as
a possible art display location.
• Mayor Parker recommended reviewing options to use underutilized space at the
libraries and community centers as shared art space made available to local artists.

Presentation was provided by Christianne Simmons, Chief Transformation Officer, and
Reginald Zeno, Financial Management Services Chief Financial Officer.
7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Beck requested a report on comparison with peer cities both in Texas
and outside of Texas on spending for arts and cultural events and funding options used.
Council Member Beck requested a report on the creation of a registration program for
door-to-door salesman.
Council Member Nettles requested a report on how the Fort Worth App handles
uploading of photos.
Council Member Nettles requested a report on hours for the Neighborhood Police
Officers.
