Due to conflicts with overhead utility lines, the traffic signal poles on the northeast and southwest of the intersection will need to be replaced with poles that do not have luminaires. In order to provide additional lighting for road users, the luminaries in the streetlights on all four medians are proposed to be changed to a luminaire with a greater forward throw. Additional funding is not being requested as part of this change order because there is a construction allowance in the wntract which will be able to cover the additional items needed. The contractor has honored the pricing of the existing contract for all of the current bid items. There are three new bid items proposed, which accounts for the additional effort required for the change in traffic signal poles and luminaires for the streetlights. The City has reviewed the proposed unit costs, and compared them to our current unit price contracts and the costs are similar. The 60 days requested are to provide time for the contractor to complete the additional work in this Change Order, including material procurement of the additional quantities. It is understood and agreed that the acceptance of this Change Order by the contractor constitutes an accord and satisfaction and represents payment in full (both time and money) for all costs arising out of, or incidental to, the above Change Order. The Project/Program Manager signing below acknowledges that he/she is the person responsible for the monitoring and administration of this contract, including ensuring all performance and reporting requirements.
