Area Overall L'conomic Development Program and the 1980-81 Compr�-
hensive �conomic Deve:Lopm�nt Strategy; ancl
iJHE1tEAS, the citizens of Fort WorLh voted to a�prove �onds to ft�nd the
23rd Street project; and
WHER�AS, the construction and r.ealignment of. 23rd Street at Main and
Main Street improvements will stimulate commerci.al development
and remove the offset of NE and NW 23rd Streets, an impediment
to traffic and the area's circulation system; and
WHEREAS, a portion af NE 23rd Str.eet from Calhoun east to Ni1es City
Fioulevard has been approved and is Ueing engineered;
NOW, THERFI'ORE, BE TT RESOI�VED, on this nineteenth day of March, the
City Council of the City of Tort Wortl� endorsed the realignment
and construction of NE 23rd Street,
