It is proposed that the City Council retroactively approve the waiver of par•lc reservation fees,
electricity fees, and concession fees for the Fort Worth Eatz Food Festival and waive the parlc
reservation fees and electricity fees for the following upcoming 2025 events:
1. Fort Worth Eatz Food Festival (March 16, 2025) -$980.00
2. Cariy The Load (May 24, 2025) -$40.00
3. Osprey Bass Anglers Foundation 34t�' Annual Youth Fishing Festival (June 14, 2025) -$330.00
DISCUSSION:
The Parlc & Recreation Department (PARD) Parlc Reservation and Festival Equipment Rental
Policies establish procedures for reserving parlcs and rental of various pieces of festival equipment.
As part of the annual budget process, the City Council adopts all City fees including parlc
reservations and festival equipment rental fees.
On Thursday, Februaiy 20, 2025, Councilmember Becic's Office approached the PARD requesting
the waiver of certain fees related to:
1. 2025 Fort Worth Eatz Food Festival Event, which sei•ves to help local businesses gain customers
and notoriety; and will offer fi•ee brunch to the community, as well as free give aways and resource
to families in need. Waiver of fees includes the parlc reservation fees and electricity fees for
Pavilion #2 and #3, plus concession fees for twenty anticipated vendors, totaling $980.00 (Permit
#43440) for the event held on March 16, 2025 at Trinity Parlc.
2. 2025 Carry The Load Event, which serves to honor and support the military, veterans, first
responders, and their families so that they have access to counseling, adaptive training, suicide
prevention, equine therapy, service dogs, job placements, transition, home improvements,
scholarships for children, and more. Waiver of parlc amenity fees for restroom access and
availability, totaling $40.00 (Permit #44342) for the event held on May 24, 2025 at Trinity Parlc
Pavilion #1.

3. 34t�' Annual Osprey Bass Anglers Foundation Youth Fishing Festival, which is typically held the
day before Father's Day and promotes togetherness for friends and families, in addition to
physical and mental wellness. Waiver of parlc reservation fees totaling $330.00 (Permit #44406)
for the event held on June 14, 2025 at Greenbriar Parlc Pavilion #1.
STRATEGIC PRIORITY:
Community investment.
LEGALITY:
The Department of Law finds that this proposal is legal and that is it within the authority of the Fort
Woi�th City Council.
FISCAL NOTE:
The following costs are anticipated to be incurred to implement this Council Proposal:
1. Direct appropriation or expenditure required: $0.00
2. Estimated (A) number of staff hours (0) multiplied by (B) average total-employee per-hour cost
($0.00) equals (C) staff costs: $0.00
3. Total estimated costs (1 + 2) _$0.00
Of the above-identified amount, $0.00 is within cun•ently budgeted resources and $0.00 would need
to be appropriated.
Based on the above and the attached financial checiclist, the Director of Finance certifies that the
approval of this Council Proposal will not require the appropriation of additional funds at this time.
