Lal<e Como Fest (July 3- 4, 2025) DISCUSSION: The Parlc & Recreation Department (PARD) Park Reservation and Festival Equipment Rental Policies establish procedures for reserving parks and rental of various pieces of festival equipment. As part of the annual budget process, the City Council adopts all City fees including parlc t�eservations and festival equipinent rental fees. On March 12, 2025 Councilmember Williams Ofiice approached the PARD, requesting the waiver of certain fees related to the 2025 Lalce Comofest event. The Lake Comofest is an event with the goal of connecting the community and bridging the generational gap in the Como neighborhood. The Lalce Comofest in 2024 had significant City of Fort Worth involvement through the partnership of the Fort Worth Police Department to ensure the safety of event attendees. Waiver of the fees will help achieve the public purpose of supporting safe neighborhoods. Waiver of fees includes site reservation fees for a special event with an anticipated attendance of 500+ attendees, electricity fees, concession fees for twenty-one (21) vendot•s, and impact fees, totaling $1,295.00 (Permit #45928) STRATEGIC PRIORITY: Community investment. LEGALITY: The Department of Law finds that tl�is proposal is legal and that is it within the authority of the Fort Worth City Council. Total estimated costs (1 + 2) Of the above-identified amount, $0 is within currently budgeted resoui�ces and $0 would need to be appropt•iated. Based on the above and the attached financial checklist, the Director of Finance certifies that the approval of this Council Proposal will not require the appropriation of additional funds at this time. CURRENT FINANCIAL IMPACT: Waiver of the above fees will result in a total of $1,295.00 of unrealized revenues. ONGOING FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. This request is for one-time waivers.
