APPOINTING RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TO PLACES 8, 9,
10, 11, AND 12 ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth established the City of
Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund, and
WHEREAS, Article 6243i of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, which applies to
the City of Fort Worth, requires the Mayor to nominate and the City Council to confirm
five residents of the City of Fort Worth to the Board of Trustees of the City of Fort
Worth Employees' Retirement Fund, and
WHEREAS, Section 2.5-5(a)(3) of the City of Fort Worth Retirement Ordinance
specifies the term of office for the trustees appointed to the Board of Trustees of the City
of Fort Employees' Retirement Fund, with Article XVI, Section 17(a) of the Texas
Constitution providing that officers of this state continue to perform the duties of their
offices until their successors are duly qualified; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that each of the individuals named herein is
qualified to serve on the Board of Trustees and finds it advisable to appoint or reappoint
them for the period identified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Fort Worth resident Jesus Payan is reappointed to Place 8 for the remainder of
the current term ending on August 31, 2026 and for a full term beginning on
September 1, 2026 and expiring on August 31, 2028;
2. Fort Worth resident Doug Wilson is reappointed to Place 9 for the remainder of
the current term ending on August 31, 2027;
3. Fort Worth resident David Cooke is appointed to Place 10 for the remainder of
the current term ending on August 31, 2026 and reappointed for a full term
beginning on September 1, 2026 and expiring on August 31, 2028;
4. Fort Worth resident Steve Purvis is reappointed to Place 11 for the remainder of
the term current ending on August 31, 2027; and
5. Fort Worth resident Jim Lacamp is reappointed to Place 12 for the remainder of
the current term ending on August 31, 2026 and for a full term beginning on
September 1, 2026 and expiring on August 31, 2028.
Adopted this 10th day of March 2026.
