AMENDMENT No . 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 61643
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Kimley-Horn and Associates,
Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 61643,
(the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 24-0520 on the llth day of June,
2024 in the amount of $ 625,800.00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following
project:
Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2022, WSM-Z, CPN
104879; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which
amends the CONTRACT:
1.
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer totals $41,328.00.
2.
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $667,128.00.

Dear Jose:
The City of Fort Worth (CITY) has requested that Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (ENGINEER)
perform additional services under Amendment No. 1 for the WATER AND SANITARY SEWER
REPLACEMENT CONTRACT 2022, WSM-Z project. This amendment adds approximately 3,660 linear
feet of 8" and 12" water line design for N. Main Street, W. Northside Drive, Grand Avenue, and Terrace
Avenue. Tasks included as part of this amendment are further described as follows:
TASK 4.0 — FINAL DESIGN (90% and 100%): $47,950
ENGINEER will complete Final Design in accordance with the Original Contract for the following:
• 1,800 linear feet of 12" water line in Main Street, including both horizontal plan view and vertical
profiles in the sheets for this segment. This includes one round of City comments.
375 linear feet of 12" water line in W. Northside Drive, including both horizontal plan view and
vertical profiles in the sheets for this segment. This includes one round of City comments.
1,130 linear feet of 8" water line in Terrace Avenue, including horizontal plan view and roadway
cross -sections for implementation. This includes one round of City comments.
• 355 linear feet of 8" water line in W. Northside Drive, including only horizontal plan view in the
sheets for this segment. This includes one round of City comments.
TASK 8.0 — SURVEY AND SUE SERVICES:
$23,378
ENGINEER will complete Survey and SUE Services in accordance with the Original Contract for the
following:
• Survey Control
o Establish horizontal control for the project by means of GPS RTK positioning. Horizontal
control will be referenced to the Texas State Plane Coordinate System, NAD-83(2011),
North Central Zone (4202), and scaled to surface using a surface adjustment factor of
1.00012.
o Establish vertical control for the project by means of differential level loops. Vertical control
will be based on the City of Fort Worth Vertical Datum.

• Topographic Survey W Central Avenue at N Main Street
o Provide a topographic survey of the intersection of W Central Avenue at N Main Street. The
survey will extend from right-of-way to right-of-way. The survey will include, but not be
limited to, locating all existing features X, Y & Z, such as water valves, water meters (with
serial numbers), curb & gutter, asphalt, sidewalks, fences, driveways, storm & sanitary
sewer manholes (with flow line elevations), inlets and storm drain outfalls (with flow line
elevations), trees 6" and larger, tops and toes of slope, power poles, mailboxes, signs,
telephone risers, pavement type delineation, and any other above ground visible features.
Topographic Survey W Northside Drive and Terrace Avenue
o Provide a topographic survey of approximately 1,500 linear feet along W Northside Drive
and Terrace Avenue. The survey will extend from right-of-way to right-of-way. The survey
will include, but not be limited to, locating all existing features X, Y & Z, such as water valves,
water meters (with serial numbers), curb & gutter, asphalt, sidewalks, fences, driveways,
storm & sanitary sewer manholes (with flow line elevations), inlets and storm drain outfalls
(with flow line elevations), trees 6" and larger, tops and toes of slope, power poles,
mailboxes, signs, telephone risers, pavement type delineation, and any other above ground
visible features.
• Boundary Survey
o Research all properties along the routes and obtain copies of plats, easements, and deeds.
Prepare a deed sketch to locate property corners and establish existing boundary/right-of-
way/easement lines.
TASK 10.0 — ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
$-30,000
ENGINEER will apply additional services fee from the Original Contract to the Amendment No. 1
services performed.
We recommend that the CITY increase the budget by $41,328 for these additional services. The
following tables summarize our recommended budget revisions, water design fees, and revised
contract amount:
