Goodall, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 9:14 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in the City Council Work Session Room the Fort Worth City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s) City Manager Chapa called on: • Dave Lewis to Introduce Teresa Thomason as the New Park and Recreation Deputy Director. • Jessica Rogers to Introduce Brianna Brown as the New Economic Development Assistant Director. • Lauren Prieur to Recognize the American Public Works Association Award Winners c. Informal Reports 26-0027 January 2026 Report on the Release of Area from the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) by Petition of Landowner or Resident - Stephen Murray, Development Services Planning Manager 26-0028 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Reallocation - Kate Perry, Financial Management Services Assistant Director 26-0029 How the MyFW App Processes and Stores Uploaded Photos - Dr. Sana Syed, Communication and Public Engagement Chief Communications Officer Council Member Peoples requested an overview on the MyFW App. • Sana Syed, Chief Communications Officer, presented a slide show on the Informal Report Council Member Crain asked a question regarding photo uploads and if the request has to be entered in the moment. • Sharon Gamble, Assistant Communication and Public Engagement Director, answered the question stating the app knows where the picture was taken. 26-0030 Proposed Text Amendments to "0-1" Floodplain Zoning Classification - Dana Burghdoff, Assistant City Manager Council Member Peoples thanked Dana Burghdoff for the work she has done in her District. AllianceTexas Annual Economic Impact - Mike Berry, President of Hillwood Presentation was provided by Mike Berry, President of Hillwood. 5. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports • Council Member Peoples - A report on the Human Relations Commission duties and responsibilities specifically how many complaints have been filed in the last decade on discrimination and how many findings for cause on complaints. Also, identify top 5 employers these complaints have been filed against. o Council Member Flores backed up the request from Council Member Peoples.
