Subsequent to completion of water main installation it was determined that the backyards of several property owners down the hill from the project were getting flooded in rain events. After several months of negotiations an agreement where in the contractor would directly reimburse property owners for repair costs incured and the city would pay the contractor to install a drainage ditch at the rear of the properties in question to direct storm water runoff to an adjacent creek. Staff recommends the approval of an additional 230 calendar days for the time it took to reach an agreement and the time it took to install the ditch. OFFICIAL RECORD CITY SECRETARY FT.
