KOBS, ROBERT W. DOWLING, EMILY DOWLING, Landlord, and CITY OF FORT WORTH H , as Tenant, covering the premises as 2509 MERRICK STREET, FORT WORTH, TEXAS WITNESSETH that the Lease is hereby renewed and extended for a further term of 12 MONTHS to commence on the 1St day of JUNE, 1999, and to end on the 31st day of MAY, 2000, on condition that Landlord and Tenant comply with all the provisions of the covenants and agreements contained in the Lease, the rent will remain $3,300 per month. Tenant will have the option to renew the lease for one one-year option at the same rate of $3,300 per month. All other terms and conditions shall remain the same. KOBS, ROBERT W. DOWLING .AND EMILY DOWLING FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD POLICING DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Authorize the City Manager to execute a lease extension with Tracy L. Kobs, Robert W. Dowling, and Emily Dowling for office space located at 2509 Merrick Street at a cost of $39,600 per year; and 2. Approve the lease extension term of one year starting June 1, 1999, and expiring May 31, 2000 with an option to renew for one year. DISCUSSION: At the request of the Police Department, Real Property Management negotiated a lease extension agreement with Tracy L. Kobs, Robert W. Dowling, and Emily Dowling for office space to be used by neighborhood policing district headquarters. The lease extension term is for one year, with a one-year option to renew. There is a rental charge of $3,300 per month for the space. The City has leased this space since April 1, 1995, and is responsible for the payment of all utility costs. There is no increase in cost to the City. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Finance Director certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Crime Control and Prevention District Fund.
