AMENDMENT No . 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 61596
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Lockwood, Andrews, & Newman,
Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 61596,
(the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 24-0424 on the 14th day of May,
2024 in the amount of $ 276,674.00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following
project:
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 119, CPN 104878; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which
amends the CONTRACT:
1.
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer totals $19,326.00.
2.
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $296,000.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 119, Salado Trail
Dear Mr. Andrade:
The following amendment is submitted due to the City of Fort Worth's direction to investigate and
pursue the option of a possible point -of -entry into a Trinity River Authority (TRA) manhole. This
effort required the redesign of 763-linear feet of 24-inch sanitary sewer interceptor, additional
coordination with TRA, review and completion of TRA's point -of -entry application, and additional
review of flows and service areas, and coordination with CoFW as defined by the City of Fort Worth.
This direction was received following LAN's substantial completion of a 60% design of an open cut
installation for the full distance of the previous scope and exhaustion of most of the preliminary
design budget slated for this effort. Additionally, design and coordination for odor control was
completed in final design phase.
Due to realignment of the proposed sanitary sewer, River Trails Park will no longer be impacted by
the project. LAN requests to reallocate funds from Task IX Additional Parks Coordination ($17,174)
and Task X Allowances ($4,500) to partially fund the requested amendment amount shown on
Attachment A ($41,000) and listed in the table below.
