Mid -Year Price Adjustment Effective April 1, 2026 Dear Gail, We are writing to inform you of a necessary mid -year pricing adjustment to our badge and insignia product lines. We want to be upfront with you: we understand the difficulty of a price change outside of our normal annual cycle, and we do not make this decision lightly. As a family -owned manufacturer with over 1/4 years of partnership with the public safety community, we take our responsibility to provide fair and stable pricing very seriously. Since September 2025, when our current fiscal year pricing was established, the metals markets have experienced extraordinary and sustained increases across virtually every commodity we rely on to manufacture our products. We have been absorbing these costs for as long as we can, but the magnitude and persistence of these increases have reached a point where continuing to do so is simply not sustainable for our business. To give you a clear picture of what we are facing, here is a summary of metals market changes since September 2025: Fourth Amendment to Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 59671 Page 5 of 7 Metal I Alloy Sep 2025 Price Jan 2026 Price Copper -Based Metals (per fb.)- Up-15-18%since September Copper- CDA 110 $6.06 $7.08 (-r16.8%) Brass - CDA 260 $5.14 $5.94 (+15.6%) HiGlo - CDA 425 $6.17 $7.30 (+18.3%) RhoGlo - CDA 752 $7.93 $8.91 (+12.4%) Precious Metals (per ox.)- Up 33-136%since September Gold $3,820 $5,065 (+32.6%) Silver $46.15 $110.00 (+138.4%) Rhodiurn $7,300 $10,700 (+46.6%) Palladium $1,245 $1,990 (+59.8%) `+ounce 445efandMe [a!s/Lnge4hardIndus&&BLWtan,' marketdataJ As you can see, these are not modest fluctuations —they represent a fundamental shift in the cost of the raw materials essential to badge manufacturing. The metals market is showing no signs of reverting to the pricing levels of September 2025 on which our current pricing was based. We have been trying to hold the line, but increases of this magnitude simply cannot be absorbed indefinitely. Effective April 1, 2026, we will be implementing the following price adjustment: . A 5% increase across all Metal Badge and Insignia product lines. . No increase for Leather, FlexBadge, and Luclte product lines. We recognize that any mid -year price adjustment creates challenges for you and your customers, particularly agencies that work within fixed budgets and procurement cycles. Please know that we have worked hard to keep this increase as modest as possible given the scale of the cost pressures we are facing. A 5% adjustment, while never welcome, reflects only a fraction of the actual increase in our raw material costs. Please also note, contract pricing will not be affected. We remain committed to delivering the quality, craftsmanship, and service that Blackinton has been known for since 1852, and we deeply value the partnership we share with each of our dealers. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or your Blackinton Business Development Manager directly. Thank you for your continued partnership and understanding. V.H.
