(No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT § WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and RJN Group, Inc. (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 24461 (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-17156 on the 24th day of November, 1998; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering Contract for the Pavement Reconstruction and Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacements on Rockwood Drive (Churchill to East Dead End). WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated April 29, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total $12,614.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $73,249.00. 3. Inc. is pleased to submit this proposal for professional land surveying services for the above referenced project. The total linear feet of route surveying required is approximately 650 linear feet. The following itemized surveying services are to be provided by Gorrondona & Assoc. Inc.: 1.) Tie all improvements X. Y & Z (water valves, fire hydrants, storm drains, manholes. streets, driveways, curbs, trees, signs, etc.) along the proposed route. Provide flowline elevations of all storm drainage inlets and manholes along the route. The area of topo is a 50 foot wide strip being 25 feet left and right of the proposed route. 2.) Provide benchmark data on each section based on the City of Fort Worth vertical datum. Set temporary benchmarks located so they will not be destroyed during the construction project. 4_) Provide all field work in a digital form field sketches, and vertical field notes. All existing features shall be shown on the digital Autocad file. 5.) Prepare 2 permanent easements with legal descriptions and exhibits. The cost per easements is S300.00/easement. Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. can complete the above itemized surveying tasks for an hourly not -to -exceed fee of 52.5.00.
