(No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT 6 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 23306, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-16393 on the 28th day of October 1997; and subsequently revised by one previous amendment; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering contract for the design of Main C1C4B Drainage Area Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation and Improvements (Group 6, Contract 2), Part 2. WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated June 9, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $1,500.00. 2. Article II, of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $127,661.00. ��OCM G' ©u�D 3. From Sta. 79+87 the proposed realignment would proceed south, parallel to Fort Worth & Western RR right-of-way, approximately 120 feet to a point 10 feet north of the south property line of Lot 3. The alignment would then proceed east, parallel to the south property line of Lot 3, approximately 240 feet to a point in E. Enderly Place. The additional services provided will be include the following: Surveying and Easement preparation (1- 15' wide easement on All Saints Hospital property) Revision of plan sheets 15 and 16 to reflect the proposed realignment We propose to complete this work for a lump sum in the amount of $1,500. Douglas Rademaker, Director DOE and Mike Groomer, Assistant City Manager FROM: Tony Sholola T` S DATE: July 1, 1999 RE: DESIGN FEE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO MAIN C1C4B DRAINAGE AREA SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM REHABILITATION AND IMPROVEMENTS (GROUP 6, CONTRACT 2) PART 2, SEWER PROJECT NO. PS46-070460170700, DOE NO. 2424 The proposed amendment will reimburse Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., for the additional survey and design services they provided on the project as requested by the City. After final design was completed on the project, All Saints Hospital requested that the City realign the sewer line proposed across hospital property to accommodate future ex- pansion. In addition to additional design and survey work on the new alignment, it was necessary to prepare a new utility easement across hospital property. Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., has requested reimbursement in the amount of $1,500.00 for the additional survey and design services thereby increasing the contract fee from $126,161.00 to $127,661.00. I believe this fee is fair and reasonable for additional serv- ices that were provided.
