HomeMy WebLinkAbout025122 - Construction-Related - Contract - TranSystems CorporationAMENDMENT NO. 3 STATE OF TEXAS 8 CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. cc (No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT 6 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and TranSystems Corporation, (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 23247, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-16352 on the 14th day of October, 1997; and subsequently revised by two previous amendments; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering contract for the design Of Main 390 Drainage Area Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation and Improvements (Group 6, Contract 2), Part 4, and Main 36SR Drainage Area Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation and Improvements (Group 5, Contract 2), Part 7. WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: Ee Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated July 20, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total $4,200.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $905,173.00. c) 0©8M G?ECC0EDD U l'c U1k11f�UU9 T'SL'Uo 3. This necessitated additional printing that was not anticipated with the original contract. We are requesting an increase in fee of $4,200.00 to cover these costs. PS46- 070460410280 The proposed amendment will reimburse TranSystems Corporation (TranC), for addi- tional services on the project as requested by the City. In order to expedite construction of this project, staff directed TranC to divide the project into multiple parts with multiple units and multiple sets of specifications and contract documents. TranSystems Corporation has requested reimbursement in the amount of $4,200.00 for the additional printing expenses incurred thereby increasing the contract fee from $900,973.00 to $905,173.00. I believe this fee is fair and reasonable for the additional services that were provided.
