J�� COUNTY OF TARRANT S WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 21289, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-14962 on the 15th day of August 1995 and subsequently revised by five previous amendments; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering contract for the design of Sanitary Sewer Main 126 and 250 Drainage Area Rehabilitation and Sewer Improvements (Group 3, Contract 3). WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 6 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I, of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated August 2, 1999, a copy of which are is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $10,014.00. 2. Article III, Section D, of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $547,660.00. PS46-070460410110, DOE NO. 1659 The proposed amendment will reimburse Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., TCB for the ad- ditional survey and design services they provided on the project as requested by the City. Due to delay in obtaining some permanent easements needed on the project, staff directed TCB to break Part 5 of the project into two units so that the unit not requiring easements could be advertised as soon as possible. Once all necessary easements ha.ve been obtained the other unit will be advertised. The arnendment will also reimburse TCB for numerous design changes to the plans by Water Department staff after final design was complete. Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., has requested reimbursement in the amount of $10,014.00 for the additional survey and design services thereby increasing the contract fee �from $537,646.00 to $547,660.00. I believe this fee is fair and reasonable for additional serv- ices that were provided.
