COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and AB&A, Inc. (formerly Poe
Engineers) (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 209g�, (the
Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-14781 on the 18th day of
April, 1995; and amended by the City Council on March 13, 1997, by M&C C-15937
(Amendment No. 1) and then by Amendment No. 2 for $4,234.02 by Adininistrative
Order and then by Amendment No. 3 by the City Council on November 3, 1998, by
M&C C-17094.
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project:
�ngineering Contract for the design of airport facilities for Taxiway Alpha
(A)
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend said Contract to include an
increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the
Contract:

Article I, Section 1 of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated August 13, 1999, a copy of which
is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to
be performed by Engineer total $2,741.12.
2.
Article III of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum
fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as
amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed
the sum of $551,736.17.
3
All other provisions of the contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall
remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Sahu:
I have discussed Amendment No. 4 on the subject project with ZRHD, the electrical and signing sub-provider for
this project. We have decided to provide the City of Fort Worth with the quickest response time possible, ZRHD
will provide a schedule of signs to be adjusted and we will provide the two plan sheets for the contractors use.
This work can be performed for:

We have found that this work will involve one sign face on twenty-four (24) signs and two faces on three (3) signs.
The total number of characters to be changed totals 39, at an anticipated cost of $175.00 per character.
Therefore, the Engineers Opinion as to the Probable Cost will be $6825.00 plus 15% for contingencies or
$7848.75 total. �
AB&A understands the essence of time in this situation; however we must insist upon written confirmation of this
Amendment befbre work commences.
Upon receipt of this written confirmation, AB&A will provide the two plan sheets, which will include a sign schedule
listing all necessary changes within 5 working days.
