AMENDMENT NO. 1

COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Turner Collie & Braden
(Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 24482 (the Contract)
which was authorized by the City Council by M&C G17175 on the 8th day of October,
] 998; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project:
Engineering Contract for the Pavement Reconstruction and Water and
Sanitary Sewer Replacements on Bourine Street (Curzon to West Rosedale) and
Merrick Street (Diaz to Locke).
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the
Contract:

Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services
specified in a proposal letter dated July 20, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incoiporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by
Engineer total $2,895.00.
2.
Ai•ticle II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum
fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as
amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed
the sum of $67,895.00.
3.
All other provisions of the contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall
remain in fiill force and effect.

This letter is a request for supplemental authorization to provide for additional engineering
services.
In accordance with contract requirements, TC&B prepared and submitted Concept Review plans
for the 28' wide reconshuction of Merrick Street on 6/23/99. As a result of the Concept Review,
TC&B was instructed on 7/15/99 to revise the width of Merrick Street from 28' to 36'. To
accommodate this design change, additional engineering, surveying, and drafting work is required.
The estimated total fee for this additional work is $2,895.
