BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. All of the remainder of a north -south alley right -of way and all of the east -west alley right- of-way, situated in Block 18, Exchange Subdivision, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 204, Page 69, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 0.089 acres of land more or less, as more specifically described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated and extinguished. SECTION 2. Easements to the land in the above -described vacated rights -of -way are hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. All existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities located in the easements are relocated at the owner's expense. SECTION 4. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating an alley and a portion of an alley in Block 18 Exchange Subdivision to be replatted with the adjoining property for a proposed hotel; and 2. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City policy. DISCUSSION: Teague Nall and Perkins, on behalf of Wayne Equities, has requested a vacation of two alley rights -of -ways located in Block 18 of the Exchange Subdivision: the remainder of the north -south alley extending south of Exchange Avenue to NW 24th Street and all of the east -west alley directly north of Lots 9 & 10. The identified alleys will be replatted with the adjacent property for a proposed hotel in the Stockyards. The Urban Design Commission recommended approval of the proposed hotel at its February 19, 2026 meeting and the City Plan Commission recommended approval of this vacation request at its April 9, 2026 meeting. An acceptable final plat (FS-26-081) has been received in accordance with the Subdivision Ordinance. The City of Fort Worth (City) originally obtained the above -mentioned rights -of -way through plat dedication. The City does not own any fee interest in the rights -of -way or own any property adjacent to the rights -of -way and did not expend any City funds to obtain the rights -of -way. In accordance with the City's policy regarding street and alley vacation transactions approved by the City Council on March 6, 2007 (Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) G-15624), staff recommends waiving the purchase price of these rights -of -way. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2. A Form 1295 is not required because: This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
