JUSTIFICATION (REASONS) FOR CHANGE ORDER
Contractor proposes using orange snow fence and t-posts in lieu of chain link fence and line posts for tree protection fencing. Justification for substitution include safely
(orange snow fence is more visible than chain link) and maintenance (snow fence is easier to remove and replace for maintenance) concerns. PARD regularly allows the
proposed materials to be used for tree protection fencing. City Forester, TxDOT representative, and project Engineer have been consulted with no objections to the
substitution. For these reasons, PARD recommends accepting the proposed material substitutions.
It is understood and agreed that the acceptance of this Change Order by the contractor constitutes an accord and satisfaction and represents payment in
full (both time and money) for all costs arising out of, or incidental to, the above Change Order. The Project/Program Manager signing below
acknowledges that he/she is the person responsible for the monitoring and administration of this contract, including ensuring all performance and
reporting requirements.
