COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Paragon Project Resource, Inc.,
(Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 24572 (the Contract)
which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-17200 on the lst day of January,
1999; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project:
Engineering Contract for the Pavement Reconstruction and Water and
Sanitary Sewer Replacements on Curzon Ave. (Halloran to Faron) and Littlepage
(Fletcher to Kilpatrick).
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the
Contract:

Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services
specified in a proposal letter dated September 16, 1999, a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be
performed by Engineer total $5,000.00.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum
fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as
amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed
the sum of $54,637.00.
3.
All other provisions of the contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall
remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Sahu:
Pursuant to our meeting today, please initiate a modification to our agreement for engineexing services in
accordance with Standard Agreement Article V, Item K provisions. Based on additional scope requested
by the City as identified below, we request modification of our design fee as fallows:
SCOPE CHANGE #1:
Revise pavement width established in concept phase design, from variable street width which matched
existi.ng nrtersection curb returns per coordination with the City, to even 36-foot and 28-foot street widths
after 90-percent design per coordination with the City.
This desi� change affected 9 of the 16 project drawings (5 plan and profile sheets, 1 water plan sheet, 1
sanitary sewer plan and profile sheet, 2 cross section sheets) and required re-design of the 90-percent paving
layout, �-ading, 25 driveways, 161eadwalks, water service layout and 40 cross sections already completed.
