Dear Mr. Ehia:
We have received your instructions to recall and modify the final construction plans and specifications based on
changes in how the City is electing to manage the street pavement repairs of the construction trenches, from a
permanent to temporary repair detail. We have made a careful evaluation on the Ievel of effort and costs
necessary to implement these changes at this stage, and considered whether these costs were smal! enough to
be absorbable by MCE, or would prompt need for a supplemental agreement. While MCE endeavors to foresee
and avoid generating causes for supplemental agreements if at all possible, there are cases when they do become
warranted.
This letter serves to confirm discussions betwesn Mr. Ric Trice and yourself conceming the need to revise the
shown project number. Your consideration for a supplementa! agreement to provide the following extra consulting
services for all but the project number change are as follows
Scope of Supplementai Work
1. Revise plan notes on all 11 plan sheets in regards to permanent to temporary street repair detail.
2. Revise specifications and Bidding Documents in regards to permanent to temporary street repair detail.
3. Revise, replot, recertify, and re-issue plan sheets.
4. Recalculate paving repair bid item quantities and revise project cost opinion.
Projected Schedute .
MCE proposed to deliver all the revised Construction Documents within 7 working days of the Supplemental
Agreement approval.
Proposed Budget
MCE proposes a supplemental fee of y1,350.00 for the services and reimbursable expenses to accomplish the
