AMENDMENT NO. 2

WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Ratnala & Bahl, Inc.
Consulting Engineers, Inc. (the ��Engineer") made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 24462, (the Contract) which was authorized by the
City Council by M&C C-17151 on the 24 day of November, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following
project:
Design of Proposed 8-inch Sanitary Se�rer Line Replacement for Lateral 1704
and 1707
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No.2 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which
amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated December 07,
1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost
to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total
$11,827.10
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in
the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed
under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for
all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $79,285.48

3.
All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

RE: DESIGN FEE AMEI�iDMENT FOR DESIGN OF 8-INCH SANITARY SEWER MAIN TO
REPLACE EXISTING 6-INCH SANITARY SEWER LINE (L-1707 AND L-1704) LOCATED IN
THE ALLEY, DOE# 2174 & 2175
As requested by the City of Fort Worth, Ratnala & Bahl, Inc., has submitted a proposal to provide
additional services for design of proposed sanitary sewer main, L-1707 and L-1704.
Ratnala & Bahl, Inc., has requested to perform these additional services for a fee not to exceed
$11,827.10 increasing the contract fee from $67,458.00 to $79,285.48
Staff considers this fee to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed. Piease authorize this
additional design by your signature on the attached Cantract Amendment form.

City of Fort Worth has requested that Ratnala & Bahl, Inc. replace G' sanitary s�;wer
lines L-1707 and L-1704 in engineering plans for this project. We have niade an evaluation
of the additional engineering, drafting, surveying and reproduction services that will be
required.
We believe that the additional work can be completed in a timely manner as an
addendum to our existing contract for this project. We propose an additional lump sum fee
of $11,827.10 for the additional work.
Please apbro��e this addition to the fee for our contract and issue a written. Norice to
Proceed. We appreciate this opportunity to provide profes�ional serv�ces t� the City of Fort
