FOURTH AMENDMENT AND FOURTH RENEWAL
OF CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 57761
A PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND SUSAN ALLEN KLINE
This FOURTH AMENDMENT AND FOURTH RENEWAL OF CITY SECRETARY
CONTRACT NUMBER 57761 ("Fourth Amendment and Fourth Renewal") is made and entered into
by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH ("City"), a home -rule municipal corporation of the State
of Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and SUSAN ALLEN
KLINE, a natural person and Texas Historic Preservation Consultant ("Contractor"). City and Contractor
are each individually referred to as a ('Party") and collectively referred to as the ("Parties"). The term
"Contractor" shall include Contractor, its officers, agents, employees, representatives, contractors, or
subcontractors. The term "City" shall include its officers, employees, agents, and representatives.
WHEREAS, on June 30, 2022, the City and Contractor entered into a Professional Consulting
Services Agreement for Contractor to assist the Park & Recreation Department with researching, editing,
and writing the revised and updated History of the Fort Worth Parks book, the same being Fort Worth
City Secretary Contract ("CSC") Number 57761 ("Agreement");
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor exercised the First Renewal Option, which expired on June
29, 2024, the same being CSC No. 57761-A1R1; the amendment to the Agreement increased the contract
aggregate amount from $15,000 to $49,000.00 and updated Exhibits A-1 and B-1;
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor exercised the Second Renewal Option, which expired on
June 29, 2025, the same being CSC No. 57761-A2R2, the amendment to the Agreement updated Exhibits
A-2 and B-2;
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor exercised the Third Renewal Option, which expires on June
29, 2026, the same being CSC No. 57761-A3R3, the amendment to the Agreement updated Exhibits A-3
and B-3;
WHEREAS, the parties desire to exercise the Fourth one-year renewal term ("Fourth Renewal
Term"), effective beginning on June 30, 2026, and ending on June 29, 2027;
WHEREAS, the Parties further desire to amend the Agreement to increase the aggregate amount
of the Agreement from $49,000.00 to $100,000.00;
WHEREAS, the Parties also desire to amend portions of Exhibit A and Exhibit B; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and Contractor agree to amend and renew the Agreement as
follows:

I.
1. Section 3, "Compensation", of the Agreement is hereby amended to increase the aggregate
amount of the Agreement from $49,000.00 to $100,000.00, to read as follows:
"City shall pay Contractor an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero
Cents ($100,000.00) in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and Exhibit B. Contractor shall
not perform any additional services for the City not specified by this Agreement unless the City requests
and approves in writing the additional costs for such services. The City shall not be liable for any
additional expenses of Contractor not specified by this Agreement unless the City first approves such
expenses in writing. Contractor shall submit written invoices to the City on a monthly basis. City agrees
to pay all invoices of Contractor in accordance with the applicable provisions of Chapter 2251 of the Texas
Government Code."
2. Exhibit A, Scope of Services, of the Agreement is hereby amended to include a modified
project completion time for the Fourth Renewal Term, as set forth in Exhibit A-4, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
3. Exhibit B, Compensation, of the Agreement is hereby amended to include a revised
payment schedule for the Fourth Renewal Term, as set forth in Exhibit B-4, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
II.
City and Contractor hereby agree to renew and extend the Agreement for the fourth one-year
renewal term ("Fourth Renewal Term") effective beginning on June 30, 2026, and expiring on June 29,
2027.
M.
1. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement, as amended, remain in frill force and
effect except as specifically set forth in this Fourth Amendment and Fourth Renewal.
2. All terms of this Fourth Amendment and Fourth Renewal that are capitalized but not
defined herein have the meanings assigned to them in the Agreement.

EXHIBIT A-4
Contractor shall assist the Park & Recreation Department with researching and updating the History of
the Fort Worth Parks book as outlined below, including adding open space acquisitions. Contractor shall
work closely with the Park & Recreation Department staff to ensure consistent project updates and clear
communication. Contractor's main point of contact with the City for meetings, telephone conference calls,
and emails shall be Deborah J. Branch for Park and Allison Docker for Open Space inquiries respectively.
Contractor shall use Contractor's own equipment, supplies, and office to perform the Services. Contractor
shall travel to City offices as needed or requested for meetings with City staff.
1. Bring in updates to the Park History Book including new park inventory and park assets coming
online, new park board members, and other changes as appropriate or as requested by staff.
2. Research history of open space properties as requested

Contractor shall deliver completed work to City staff with each monthly invoice. Contractor's fee for
labor shall be $75.00 per hour. City shall reimburse Contractor for clerical expenses. Any additional
expenses of Contractor must be approved by the City prior to Contractor incurring said expenses.
Contractor shall contact Deborah J. Branch for approval of any additional expenses on Park History Book
and Allison Docker, or her representative, for research on open space properties. The total fee, including
expenses, paid to Contractor for the Services shall not exceed a cumulative project total (for all years of
future renewals) of $100,000.00.
