Council by M�C C-16611 on the 17th day of February, 1998; and subsequently renised by tvro previous amendments; and - WSEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering contract for the design of Main 39� Drainage Area Sanitary Se�ver System Rehabilitation and Improvements (Group 6, Contract 1), Part 7. WHLREAS, said Contract m87t��+++�*� fee; it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to to include an increased scope of ovork and revised NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following aqreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated S�ptember 10, 1999, a copy of �hich is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $10,670.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maxi.mum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and sernices shall not exceed the sum of $229,895.00. '�/ January 28, 2000 RE: DESIGN FEE AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO MAIN 390 DRAINAGE AREA SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM REHABILITATION AND IMPROVEMENTS (GROUP 6, CONTRACT 1), PART 7, SEWER PROJECT NO. PS46-070460410280, DOE NO. 1827 The proposed amendment will reimburse Baird Hampton & Brown, Inc.(BHB), for the additional engineering services to be provided on the project as requested by the City. In order to relocate all public sewer lines from property scheduled for development by the Fort Worth Independent School District staff directed BHB to prepare plans and specifi- cations for the removal of all the sewer lines from the proposed site and develop new alignments for the affected lines. Baird Hampton & Brown, Inc., is requesting reimbursement in the amount of $10,670.00 for the additional services thereby increasing the contract fee from $219,225.00 to $229,895.00. I believe this fee is fair and reasonable for the additional services that were provided. Please authorize the additional design fee by your signature on the attached contract amendment form.
