Goodall, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Parker called the City Council Work Session of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 1:02 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in the City Council Conference Room 2020 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Report of the City Manager A. Upcoming and Recent Events There were no upcoming and recent events. B. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s) City Manager Jesus "Jay" Chapa called on D.J. Harrell to recognize Jennifer Ezernack as Ambassador of the Year 2024. City Manager Jesus "Jay" Chapa called on Robert Sturns to introduce Lance Randall as Economic Development Deputy Director. Informal Reports 25-0027 Mayor Pro Tern Bivens requested IR 25-0027 be taken first. 25-0021 25-0022 Council Member Hill requested a summary of the report. Council Member Carlos expressed concern over the timeliness of the public outreach relating to the Irma Park proposal. 25-0023 Council Member Beck requested a summary of the report. 25-0024 Council Member Hill thanked staff for their work on this item. 25-0025 25-0026 25-0028 Mayor Pro Tem Bivens requested a summary of the report. 25-0029 2. Questions Regarding Changes in Membership on Boards and Commissions for February 11, 2025, Council Meeting There were no questions regarding changes in membership on boards and commissions for February 11, 2025, Council Meeting. Council Member Nettles requested information on the process for reporting vandalism to vehicles. Council Member Nettles requested information on the process and cost for installation of cameras on street lights and signs. Council Member Nettles requested information on the process for reporting and addressing illegal buildings specifically on vacant lots. Council Member Crain requested information on the process for Informal Reports and tracking the status of the reports. Council Member Crain requested a report on the regulation of the Use of Drones. Alliance Economic Impact Report — Mike Berry, Hillwood President Presentation was provided by Mike Berry, Hillwood President. 7. Fort Worth Sister Cities Annual Update — Valerie Washington, Assistant City Manager, Kippen de Alba Chu, Fort Worth Sister Cities President/CEO and Cindy Johnson, Fort Worth Sister Cities Chairwoman of the Board of Directors Presentation was provided by Valerie Washington, Assistant City Manager, Kippen de Alba Chu, Fort Worth Sister Cities President/CEO. S. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports. Council Member Beck requested a report on the authority of the Historic Landmark Commission and how it compares with Commission's from other Texas Cities. Council Member Nettles requested information on the costs of additional police towers.
