A RESOLUTION FOR APPROVAL AND ADOPTION OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH JURISDICTIONAL ANNEX TO THE TARRANT COUNTY HAZARD
MITIGATION ACTION PLAN 2025
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth recognizes the threat that natural hazards
pose to people and property within the City and Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County prepared a multi -hazard mitigation plan, known as
the Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020 in accordance with
the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000; and
WHEREAS, by and through Resolution No. 5179-01-2020, the City approved
and adopted the Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020 on
January 28, 2020; and
WHEREAS, following a public and stakeholder comment process created by
Tarrant County, the City of Fort Worth Jurisdictional Annex to the Tarrant County
Hazard Mitigation Action Plan 2025 was developed as Fort Worth's portion of the
Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS THAT:
1. The City Council hereby adopts the City of Fort Worth Jurisdictional
Annex to the Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan 2025; and
2. This resolution shall be effective from and after its passage by the City Council.
