AMENDMENT No . 2
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 59647
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Lockwood, Andrews &
Newnam, Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract
No. 59647, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 23-0464 on the
13th day of June, 2023 in the amount of $ 575,208.00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1
in the amount of $42,135.00 which was administratively authorized on May
16th, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following
project:
2022 Bond Year 3, Contract 14, CPN 104315; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment Number 2 to the
CONTRACT to incorporate a storm drain scope of services and fee required
to address project needs identified during construction.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which
amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer totals $29,210.00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page
-4-)

Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $646,553.00.

All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

2022 Bond Year 3 Contract 14— Project Number 104315
Dear Mr. Robbins:
The following amendment is submitted due to additional engineering services requested by the City of
Fort Worth (CITY) on 2022 Bond Year 3 Contract 14. The additional effort rendered requires additional
engineering design for the project plans.
Purpose of Work
This additional services request involves the design and realignment of an existing 30" RCP storm drain
line at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Watson Street as part of the 2022 Bond Year 3
Contract 14 — CPN 104315 project. This work is to prevent unnecessary disturbance to private property
at 4925 Meadowbrook Drive, replace a deficient section of existing RCP as identified during
construction, and upsize an existing undersized curb inlet.
Summary of Work
The requested changes to the storm drain system at the Meadowbrook Drive and Watson Street
intersection involve full redesign of approximately 150 LF of existing 30" RCP storm line. The project
limits are from the originally planned spot repair improvements at the edge of pavement at 4920
Meadowbrook Drive to the newly installed portion on the left-hand side of Watson Street as part of the
originally planned spot repairs.
LAN will design a revised alignment for the proposed storm line, including a new Type 2 curb inlet on the
north side of Meadowbrook Drive, based on confirmed capacity from an inlet sizing analysis. LAN will
verify that the conveyance capacity of the realigned storm system meets applicable CITY stormwater
criteria, prepare (1 expected) drainage area map (DAM) sheet, (2 expected) storm drain plan and profile
sheets, (1 expected) storm drain lateral sheet, and (1 expected) set of drainage computation sheets. LAN
will revise (9 expected) existing plan sheets to incorporate design changes resulting from these
additional services, prepare an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) for the additional storm
improvements, and update the project manual as necessary. LAN will also provide the CITY with one
preliminary plan set for review, hold one comment review meeting, submit one comment response log,
and deliver one final signed and sealed plan set.

Assumptions
This additional services scope and fee is based on the project assumptions as listed below:
• Project limits are from edge of pavement at 4920 Meadowbrook Drive to the newly installed
pipe laid in Watson Street.
• LAN will perform a drainage analysis referencing existing as-builts for Meadowbrook Drive.
• LAN will perform an existing and proposed pipe HGL analysis and inlet sizing analysis using flow
information provided from as-builts for Meadowbrook Drive.
o LAN will NOT calculate new runoff values "Q", delineate new drainage basins "A",
incorporate updated rainfall intensities "i", or runoff coefficients "C".
• Tie-in invert elevations at the beginning and end of project limits will be determined from
provided as-builts.
• No additional survey or QLA subsurface investigation will be performed.
• Relevant CCTV information on the existing storm drain will be provided to LAN by CITY.
• As -built information for Meadowbrook Drive in the project area will be provided to LAN by CITY.
• Invert elevation of newly installed RCP for project tie-in point will be provided to LAN by CITY.
• CITY will review Engineered plans ONCE before LAN issues signed and sealed construction plans.
• LAN will respond to ONE set of City comments before issuing signed and sealed plans.
• PDF and .DWG files will be uploaded to the CITY document management system (Trimble Unity
Construct)
