During excavation, an existing sewer main that we are replacing as part of this project was found puncturing a slormwaler lateral located at Fairview and Gypsy Gulch. This change order provides a bid item for a 24" RCP pipe in Unit II to repair the storm pipe. In addition, the bid item for a 12" water line lowering is being added to Unit I, as it was not included in the original bid proposal. Time: The contractor requested 10 calendar days to account for coordinating and installing the stormwater pipe. The City approved these additional 3 calendar days from 1210512024 to 12108/2024. : A bid item for a 24" RCP pipe is already included in the contract in another Unit, and the same price is being used by the contractor. The city compared the new bid for the 12" Water Lowering to the current contract prices from other projects under construction at the time of this change order. The final inspection and the corrected punch list items indicate that the work meets the City of Fort Worth specifications and is therefore accepted by the City. The warranty period will start on February 27, 2026, which is the date of the punch list completion and will extend of two (2) years in accordance with the Contract Documents.
