Home My WebLink About060324-A1 - Construction-Related - Contract - Gresham SmithCSC No. 60324 -Al AMENDMENT No. 1 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 60324 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Gresham Smith, (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 60324, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 23-0834on the 26th day of September, 2023 in the amount of $ 453,375.00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2022 WSM-X, CPN 104838; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $17,048.00. 2. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $470,423.00. 3. City of Fort Worth Water Department - Capital Delivery 100 Fort Worth Trail Fort Worth, Texas 76102 Subject: Proposal for Amendment No. 1 CPN-104838: W/SS Replacement Contract 2022 WSM-X Gresham Smith Project No. 47724.00 Dear Mr. Sum: Amendment No. 1 will provide compensation for the following additional services that were provided on the project: Atmos Energy provided pothole information (horizontal coordinates and vertical elevation) on its existing 15" gas line at crossings with the proposed sanitary sewer improvements. The proposed sanitary sewer line will need adjusted horizontally and/or vertically at strategic locations to provide minimum desired clearances. The following proposed sanitary sewer lines will need adjusted to provide the desired clearances with the existing gas line: S-2, S -2A, S-3, S-4, S-6 & S -6A. Additionally, some miscellaneous plan sheets and the OPCC will need updated to reflect the revised sanitary sewer alignment. The additional labor hours for these tasks are also presented in the attached updated LOE which totals $17,048.00.
