AMENDMENT No .2
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 56962
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and 2M Associates, LLC,
(ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 56962, (the
CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 21-0874 on the 9th day of November,
2021 in the amount of $ 276,770.00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by Amendment No. 1 in
the amount of $30,424.00 administratively authorized on February 21, 2025;
and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
Water and Sewer Rehabilitation, Contract 116, CPN 102787; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which
amends the CONTRACT:
1.
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer totals $32,331.00. (Sewer)
2.
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $339,525.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Ms. Johnson,
2M Associates, LLC (2M) is pleased to submit this Amendment Request No. 2 for additional services
performed under this contract. These services resulted from extensive agency, utility, railroad, permitting,
easement, and project coordination beyond the anticipated level of effort, as summarized below:
• Railroad and Utility Coordination: Extensive coordination with Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR),
Fort Worth & Western Railroad (FWWR), Oncor, and Energy Transfer to address project
requirements, utility conflicts, crossings, and other design considerations.
• Floodplain Development Permitting: Additional coordination and preparation of documentation
necessary to support Floodplain Development Permit requirements associated with the project.
• Easement Acquisition Support: Extensive coordination and preparation of supporting
information for the acquisition of required easements involving 13 parcels.
• Oakland Boulevard Bike Lane Coordination: Continued coordination with the Oakland
Boulevard Bike Lane Project, requiring modifications and updates to the water and sewer
rehabilitation design. This ongoing coordination resulted in four (4) separate 100% design
submittals to incorporate evolving project requirements and maintain consistency between the two
projects.
These additional efforts required substantial coordination, design revisions, preparation of supporting
documentation and exhibits, and multiple updates to the contract documents beyond the level of effort
originally anticipated.
FEE
The total fee for the scope of work as outlined above is estimated at $32,331.00 including expenses.
The total contract amount requested under this contract is as follows:
Original contract amount: $276,770.00
Amendment no. 1: $30,424.00
Amendment no. 2: $32,331.00
Total contract amount to date: $339,525.00
