The award is preliminary, pending a signed Advance Funding Agreement as well as a Landscape Maintenance Agreement assigning maintenance responsibility to the City. The project's objective is to provide landscape improvements within the US 287 Right -of -Way at the intersection with Vaughn Boulevard and East Berry Street. The project is part of the City's effort to revitalize landscape areas along roadways. The GCAA grant improvements will install plants and landscaping materials along the banks of US 287 and in the existing islands at East Berry Street/Vaughn Boulevard. The project is located south of the US 287 and East Berry Street Green Ribbon Landscape project (City Project No. 105831), which is nearing the bid stage. The grant funding is to be used for construction purposes only. The City of Fort Worth is solely responsible for any costs associated with project management, design, construction inspection, materials testing, and bears responsibility for cost overruns. The State is waiving $94,181.00 of direct and indirect state costs for its plan review and oversight. The project is currently funded for design using the 2022 Bond Program Fund.
