Re: CPN 104325 — 2022 Bond Year 3 Contract 19 —Amendment 1
Dear Mr. Cardona:
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is pleased to submit Amendment No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 59319
for engineering services associated with the 2022 Bond Year 3 Contract 19 (CPN 104325).
This amendment includes revisions to the project scope that incorporate both a reallocation of existing effort
and additional services requested by the City.
For the Water Department scope, the amendment reallocates existing budget among design management,
final design, bid phase, construction phase, ROW/easement, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) work
types. The Water Department reallocation is net zero and does not increase the Water Department fee.
For the Transportation and Public Works (TPW) Department scope, the amendment reallocates $8,250 of
unused SUE budget to offset additional engineering effort. The remaining $3,800 is additional fee requested
to complete final design services, including design revisions associated with utility relocations; redesign of
the ADA pedestrian ramp at the Benbrook Boulevard and Granbury Road intersection; and preparation of
project -specific Special Specifications (9999 bid items) for non-standard construction elements.
The total fee associated with Amendment No. 1 is $3,800, resulting in a revised contract amount of
$709,090. Below is the summarization of reallocated budget by task per department, followed by
summarization of reallocated budget by Work Type.
