Home My WebLink AboutContract 43025 CITY SECRETA ` CONTRACT NO 4:1 D�2� PRETREATMENT SERVICES DIVISION CONTRACT FOR GREASE/GRIT TRAP DISCHARGE PERMIT PRETREATMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth and City of Westworth Village entered into a contract for the treatment of wastewater, such contract being City of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 15784, dated May 8, 1987; and WHEREAS, the City of Westworth Village is required by said contract to adopt and enforce an industrial pretreatment ordinance within its jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the City of Westworth Village has requested that the City of Fort Worth perform sampling of industrial wastes within the jurisdiction of City of Westworth„Village, as well as performing the analysis of such samples; and _ Y_ WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth is agreeable to performing the permitting, inspection and reasel rit trap sizing on behalf of Westworth Village. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Fort Worth, hereinafter referred to as "Fort Worth", and City of Westworth Village hereinafter referred to as "Westworth Village", hereby agree as follows: 1. As of the date of this agreement, there are approximately ten (10) (see Exhibit A) establishments within the jurisdiction of Westworth Village utilizinq greas0grit traps. This agreement shall apply to existing and future establishment identified by Westworth Villa e in order to comply with City Ordinances and Contract No 15784 with the City_.,,of__Fort Worth. 2. Fort Worth agrees to perform the following basic services which are related to grease/grit trap discharge permitting, section 9 of City of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 15784 (the Contract), for Westworth Village: a. Review business plans submitted by a permit applicant or Westworth Village for grease/grit trap permit application; review civil and building plans and inspect oil & grease interceptor b. Use Uniform Plumbing Code to size oil & grease interceptors c. Prepare grease trap-interceptor discharge permit application d. Issue 1 deny permits as applicable. Send permitted establishments an annual renewal application at least 30 days prior to expiration of current discharge permit f. collect and analyze oil & grease samples, pH, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), TSS (Total Suspended Solids) to determine compliance with discharge criteria g. Maintain paper and electronic files for Westworth Village establishments and update as necessary h. Advise Westworth Village of non-complying establishments each month, however, Fort Worth will conduct no enforcement actions within the jurisdiction of Westworth Village. 3. Westworth Village agrees to pay Fort Worth for the basic services required hereunder as follows (see Exhibit B Fee Schedule): a. The sum collected for each establishment permitted with payment submitted for pretreatment services described under Section 2. b. A monthly contract Service charge. These charges shall be included in the monthly wastewater statement submitted to Westworth Village pursuant to the contract and shall be paid at the time such statement is due and payable. 4. Westworth Village agrees to pay Fort Worth for additional services as may be requested: a. None at this time. b. This agreement shall terminate two years after execution date, unless renewed as herein after specified. Westworth Village may renew this agreement on a bi-annual basis by giving Fort Worth at least thirty (30) days prior written notice of its intent to renew. Within fifteen (15) days after receipt of such notice Fort Worth shall advise Westworth Village of any escalation in charges. Within ten (10) business days, Westworth Village shall confirm in writing that it agrees to the escalation in charges. Failure to so notify Fort Worth shall render the agreement terminated at the end of the then current term. 6. Nothing contained in this agreement shall be construed as amending, limiting or reducing Westworth Village's obligations contained in the Contract. The City of Fort Worth acknowledge receipt of Westworth Village Letter of Intent dated on January 22, 2014 [sic 2 13] and received by Pretreatment Services on JanUary 28, 2014, to renew aforementioned contracts for another two,years.
