PRE-COUNCIL CHAMBER 2ND FLOOR FORT WORTH CITY HALL 1000 THROCKMORTON STREET, FORT WORTH, TEXAS 76102 I. Call to Order. II. Certification of Official Returns by the City Secretary. III. Canvass the Returns and Declare the Results of the Runoff Election Held on June 23, 2012, for the Purpose of Electing a Council Member for City Council District 8 to Serve the Remainder of an Unexpired Term. IV. Executive Session—The Canvassing Authority may conduct a closed meeting as authorized by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code to seek the advice of its attorneys on legal issues regarding any matter listed on the Canvassing Authority Agenda. V. Adjourn. * Pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Texas Election Code, the precinct election returns for each election shall be canvassed by the political subdivision's governing body for an election ordered by the authority of a political subdivision. Two members of the authority constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election. According to the City Council Rules of Procedures, individual citizen presentations shall be limited to three minutes, and group presentations shall be limited to ten minutes. At the Mayor's discretion, time limits may be reasonably extended. Fort Worth Council Chamber, is wheelchair accessible. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may need accommodations, auxiliary aids, or services such as interpreters, readers, or large print are requested to contact the City's ADA Coordinator at(817) 392-8552 or e- mail ADAL&EortWorthTexas.gov at least 48 hours prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made. If the City does not receive notification at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, the City will make a reasonable attempt to provide the necessary accommodations. Council Date: 6/28/2012
