HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010/08/03-Agenda-City Council-Executive Session Executive Session Print Page 1 of 1 NOTICE OF SPECIAL SESSION (Pre-Council Chamber) Tuesday, August 03, 2010 Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Fort Worth will hold a special meeting in the Pre-Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 1000 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 to consider the items on the agenda listed below. The special meeting will be held immediately after the Pre-Council meeting that begins at 3:00 P.M. in the Pre-Council Chamber at City Hall and before the regular City Council meeting that begins at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. I. CALL TO ORDER II. EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to: 1. Seek the advice of its attorneys concerning the following pending or contemplated litigation or other matters that are exempt from public disclosure under Article X, Section 9 of the Texas State Bar Rules and as authorized by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code: a. Catherine Davidson v. City of Fort Worth, Cause No. CV10-07-546, in the 271st District Court, Wise County, Texas; b. Marcus Swiat v. City of Fort Worth, Officer Mike Duer, Officer Bentley, Officer Dunn and Officer J.K. Young, Civil Action No. 4:10-cv-354-A; c. Ric Clark et al. v. City of Fort Worth, Civil Action No. 4;1 0-cv-519-A; d. Fort Worth Independent School District v. Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and City of Fort Worth, Cause No. D-1-GV-10-000681, Travis County District Court; e. Legal issues concerning any item listed on today's City Council meeting agendas; and 2. Deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property in accordance with Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code. Deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party; and 3. Deliberate economic development negotiations as authorized by Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code; and 4. Deliberate the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices, in accordance with Section 551.076 of the Texas Government Code. III.
