HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010/11/09-Agenda-City Council-Executive Session Executive Session Print Page 1 of 1 NOTICE OF SPECIAL SESSION (Pre-Council Chamber) Tuesday, November 09, 2010 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Fort Worth will hold a special meeting in the Pre-Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 1000 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, to consider the items on the agenda listed below. The special meeting will be held immediately after the Pre-Council meeting that begins at 3:00 P.M. in the Pre- Council Chamber at City Hall and before the regular City Council meeting that begins at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. I. CALL TO ORDER II. EXECUTIVE SESSION The City Council will conduct a closed meeting in order to: 1. Seek the advice of its attorneys concerning the following pending or contemplated litigation or other matters that are exempt from public disclosure under Article X, Section 9 of the Texas State Bar Rules and as authorized by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code: a. James Clinton Neal v. City of Fort Worth, Texas, Fort Worth Police Officers W.P. Menzies, C.W. Mills, and G.W. Hull, Civil Case No. 4:07-CV-497-Y; b. City v. Arcadia Park, L.P. and Site Concrete, Inc., Case No. 153-222641-07; c. City of Fort Worth v. D. R. Horton —Texas Ltd. and Site Concrete, Inc., Cause No. 017-232717-08; d. Legal issues concerning premature street failures; e. Legal issues related to Local Government Code Section 54.044 and Texas Government Code Section 30.00005; f. Legal issues concerning any item listed on today's City Council meeting agendas; and 2. Deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property in accordance with Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code. Deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party; and 3. Deliberate economic development negotiations as authorized by Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code; and 4. Deliberate the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices, in accordance with Section 551.076 of the Texas Government Code. III.
