AN ORDINANCE providing for the purchase of four
Incinerators, by the CITY OF F0111, T(Ji%Thj and the issuance
of six notes in pziyid,eat therefor, as follows: Onfnote
payable October 10th, 1921, One note payable February
10th, 1622, One note pLLyable Ootober 10th, 1022; One note
payable February 10th, 1923, One rote p,iyuble October 10th

notes for Ten Thousand Dollars each, sLnd one note for
Seven Thousand Two Hundred dollars, 07,200) , all of said
notes being payable to the order of the Superior Qa.,rbags
.Incinerator Companyof Dallas, Texans, all of said
notes to bear interest at the rate of six per cent (6*) per
annum, payable semi-amauully, frond date until pold, and

may be necessary to meet the payments of said notes, as
may be shown by the assessed valuations of the City.

WHEREAS: The CITY OF FOf,'f WOETH, inatrict con-
formity with the raquirawe:,)ts of its Charter, has har6to'lftlrE
advertised for bids for tii�a areot,on zind c onstruction of
four Inainerators, three of %hich are to be in the capacity
of Twelve and One-half (12j) tons, per twelve hours, and one
Incinerator with the capacity of Twentyv'five tons (25)
per tileve hours, and

said bids on the f �h day of OctobEar, A.D. lG2,0, the bid
of the Superior Garbage Indinerator Company, of Dallas,
Texas, in the suw of Fifty-seven Thousand Two Hundred
(657,200) dollars, was accepted by the Board of Commisa-

loners of the CITY OF FORT VK)PITH, .,s the lowest bid, and
WHEREAS: it is necessary to provide for the payf:.ecit
to the said Superior Garbage Incinerator Compgny, for the
purchase of said Incinerators, and
WHEREAS: it is necessary to provide for the paymant
of Paid Incinerators, by the levying; of a special tax for
the years 1:21, 1922 and 1923, and
WHEREAS: it is satir4sted that t,a valua-
tion of the proplzty ir, the 01l'i OF FORT will, be for
said -years, the sum of One Hundred and Twebty-eight millicn
dollars, ($128,000,000.00) , and
WIIEREAS: it will rquire a special levy of Two and
Two-tenths cents,(22/10) , on the property in the CITY OF
FORT WORTH, real, persone.1 and trAxed, and on all property
coned in the CITY OF FORT YOETH, subject to taxation, and
not exempt therefrom 'by the Constitution and laws of the
State of Texas, now ther�..fore,

SECTION 1. That til-ie Mayor and City Secretary, be

the qITY OF FORT AlOf"TH, and payable respectively as follows:
One note payable October 10th, 1021; One note p,,',,_yable February
10th, 1922; One note payable October 10th, 1022; One note pay-
abib February 10th, 1923; One note payable October 10th, 1923
and the last of said notes being payable on February 10th, 2924,
SECTION 2.- That there is kier_,by levied, and shall
be collected, as provided by law, an LLnnuzil special advalorem
tax, for the years 1921, I922 and 1023, for the payiaent of
said promissory notes, in the agcregate suir, of Fifty seven
Thousand Two hundred Dollars, ($57,200) , and interest thaveon
as set out in Section 1, of this Ordinance, of Two and Two-
tenths oents, (2-2/10) on every One hundred dollars
valuation on all property, real, personal and mixed, situated
in, and all personal property owned in the OTTI OF FORT WORThs
on the first, day of January, 1921, 1922 and 1023, subject to
taxation, and not exempt therefrom by the Constitution or
laws of the 4TATS OF TEXAS; provided that only so much of the
said Two and Two-tenths cents, (2-210) levy shall be made for
the years IMM, I922 and 1923, it,&y be neoess,,,iry to aieet
the maturity of the notes set out in Section 1 of this Ordinance
according to the asses,,-,ed adValorem values of the CITY OF FONT
WOI-L'TH, for the years, 1922 and 1923.
SECTION 3.- That it shall be the duty of the Board
of Commissioners of the CITY OF Fr_)fel W01L'H, in levying tar s
for general purposes, for the years 1921,I9212' arid 1923 to
include in said levy for general purposes, a special tax of Two
and Two-tenths cents, (2-2/10) on the One Hundred Dollar Val-
uation, or so much thereof as may be, necessary, to i,aat the
maturity of acid notes for the years 1922 and 1923.
SECTION 4.-P tax of Two and Two-tenths
(2-2/10ths) cents, on the One Hundred Dollar,($,100) valuation
hereinbefore provided for, when collected, sh.,,,.kll be placed
in a special and sepezate fund, and applied to the payment of
said notes he:ceir}'ceZore set out, and for no other purposes.
SECTiON 5.- That this Ckodinance shall take effect
and be in full force and affect, fror;i and after its passage.
