HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6647 ' � , ' ORDINANCE N0 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ALTERATION OF THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR 5EVERADILITY AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION l THAT the hereinafter described territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth be and the same is hereby discontinued as.a part of the City of Fort Worth, said territory being more particularly described as follows: BEING a portion of the William Redffe|d Survey, Abstract Nn- 1348 situated about 9 miles north from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described as, follows: BEGINNING at a point for corner in the south line of the William Redfield Survey, Aybraot No. 1348, said point being 280 feet east of the east right-of-way line of Blue Mound Road (F,M. 155); Thence east along the south line of said William Redfield Survey to a point for corner, said point being in the present Fort Worth city limit line established by Ordinance No. 6390; Thence northwesterly along said corporate boundary to a point for corner, said point being 340 feet east of, measured at right angles, the east rtght-of-way line of Blue Mound Road; Thence west along a line perpendicular to said east right-of-way line of Blue Mound Road to a point for conner, said point being 200 feet east of the east rtght-of-way line of Blue Mound Road; Thence south along a line 208 feet east of and parallel to said east right-of-way line of Blue Mound Road to the point of beginning; and containing .0013 square miles. SECTION 2 THAT this ordinance shall and does amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and the same is hereby made cumulative. SECTION 3 THAT it is hereby declared to be tho Intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared void, ineffective, ~ or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or final decree of a court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections hereof, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council with- out the incorporation herein of any such void, ineffective or unconstitu- tional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. SECTION 14- THAT this ordinance shall become effective and shall he in full force and effect from and after its passage and it is so ordained.
