AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING PORTIONS OF
EAST RAMSEY STREET AND AN ALLEY, SITUATED IN THE RYAN
SOUTHEASET ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME
388, PAGE 7 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; THE
RETAINMENT OF EXISTING UTILITY EASEMENTS;; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That portions of East Ramsey Street, a variable width right-of-way, and an alley, fifteen
foot wide, situated in Block 6, Ryan Southeast Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas as recorded in Volume 388, Page 7 of the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and containing respectively approximately0.11 and 0.319 acres of land more or
less, and as more specifically described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above-described vacated alleys and streets are hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all existing utility easements shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in the easements are relocated at the owner's expense.

SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Adopt Ordinance Vacating a Portion of an Alley and a Portion of East Ramsey Street Between South
Riverside Drive and Yuma Street to be Replatted with the Adjoining Property Owned by Martha Miranda
(COUNCIL DISTRICT )
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council,
1.. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of an alley and a portion of East Ramsey Street
between South Riverside Drive and Yuma Street to be replatted with the adjoining property owned by
Martha Miranda„ and
. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City Policy.
DISCUSSION:
Gary L. Clements, on behalf of Martha Miranda, has requested the vacation of this alley and street rights-
of-way to replat it it the adjoining property to fence it in for security purposes and prevent illegal
dumping, The City Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on December
20, 2013. An acceptable final plat (FS-014-014) has been received in accordance with the Subdivision
Ordinance.
The City Fort Worth (City) originally obtained the above mentioned rights-of-way through the platting
process. The City does not own any fee interest in rights-of-way or own any property adjacent to the
rights-of-way and did not expend any City funds to purchase the rights-of-way easements. In accordance
with the City's Policy Regarding Street and Alley Vacation Transactions approved by the City Councll on
March 6, 2007 ( &C -15624), Staff recommends waiving the fair market value or any portion thereof of
purchase price of the right-of-way easements for the streets and alley,
