Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said
tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 11 miles west from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the
G. Y. Petitt, S. Petitt, J. Burleson, J. Johnson, C. K. Gleason, ter. H.
Garrett, B. F. Richerson, J. Kelsey, Nathaniel Holbrook, B B B & C R.R.
Co., A. Stallions, J. W. O);ford, T. 0. 'Moody, J. D. Farmer, Jno. McHorse,
J. P. Voods, J. S. Ward, G. B. Kenney, T & N 0 R.R. Co., and N. S. Laney
Surveys, and being more fully described as follows:
BEGIliN M at a point in the east ri t-of-wayy line of Dr. Harris
Road (County Road No. 1012) at its intersection with the south right-of-way
line of County Road No. 1022 produced east;
THENCE west; along the south right-of-way line of County Road No.
1022 produced east to and along the south right-of-way line of County
Road No. 1022, and the south right-of-way lira of County Road No. 1022
produced west, to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of
County Road No. 1041;
THENCE south, along the west right-of-way line of County Road No.
1011, to a point 300 feet north from the northwest right-of-way line of
Proposed Highway I-20;
THENCE southwest, along a line parallel to and 300 feet northwest
from the northwest right-of-way line of Proposed Highway I-20, to its
intersection with the middle of Marys Creek North;
THENCE down the middle of Marys Creek North, with its meanders, in
a southeasterly direction, to its intersection with the south right-of-
xray line of U. S. Highway No. 80;
THENCE west, along the south right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.
80 to its intersection with the west line of Tarrant County;
THENCE north, along the west line of Tarrant County to its inter-
section with the south line of the N. S. Laney ,Survey produced west;
THENCE east, along the south line of the N. S. Laney Survey produced
west to and along the south line of the N. S. Laney Survey to its south-
east corner;
TRENCE north, along t1 ) east line of the N. S. Laney Survey to its
intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way line of County Road No.
1007;
THEWCE southeasterly and easterly, along the southwesterly and
southerly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1007, to its intersection
with the east right-of-way line of Dr. Harris Road (County Road No. 1012);
THENCE southerly, southeasterly, and southerly along the east, north-
east, and east right-of-way line of Dr. Harris Road (County Road No. 1012),
with its meanders, to the place of beginning and containing approximately
9.1 square miles.
Section 2.
That this Ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con-
flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No.
3825, heretofore adopted and passed on May 16, 1958, but as to all other ordinances
or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be
and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance,,kiiich
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall he entered as an order on
the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date
of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the
City of Fort Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
