HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 4932I. r - r i - r WITHIN THE CORPORATE LINTS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING All EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COTAITCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: Section 1. That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a Dart of the City of Fort Worth and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 6.5 miles northwest from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas and lying in and including all or Dart of the J. Bowman, J. J. Bonham, S. A. Hatcher, T & P R.R. Co., Wm. Doshier, N.B. Breeding, and B.B.B. & C. R.R. Co. Surveys and being more fully described -as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the most southerly southwest corner of the Garcia '1'11ontez and Durand Survey, the west corner of Block 242, Rosen heights 2nd Filing; THENCE south, along the east line of the J. Bowman Survey, to a point 200 feet north from the north right-of-way line of State Farm-to- Market Road No. 1220; THENCE northwesterly, along a line parallel to and 200 feet northeast from the northeast right-of-way line of State Farm-to-Market Road No. 1220; to a point 200 feet east from the west line of the J. Bowman Survey; THENCE north, along a line parallel to and 200 feet east from the west line of the J. Bowman and S. A. Hatcher Surveys, to a point 200 feet north from the north line of the C. Brown Survey produced east; THENCE west, along a line parallel to and 200 feet north from the north line of the C. Brown Survey produced east and along a line parallel to and 200 feet north from the north line of the C. Brown Survey, to a point 500 feet east from the east right-of--way line of State Farm—le-Market Road No. 1220; THENCEe north, along a line parallel to and 500 feet east from the east right-of-way line of State Farm-to-Market Road No. 1220, to its intersection with the south line of the 14m. Dean Survey; produced east; THENCE east, along the south line of the 14m. Dean Survey produced east, to its intersection with the east line of the Wm. Deshler Survey; 'MENCE north, along the east line of the Wm. Doshier Survey to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4030; ,fdENCE southeasterly, along the Present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the southwesterly right-of-way line of County Road No. 4030, to its intersection with the east line of the B.B.B. & C. R.R. Co. Survey; THENCE south, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the east line of the B.B.B. & C. R.R. Co. Survey, and the east line of the T & P R.R. Co. Survey, to the most northerly southeast corner of said T & P R.R. Co. Survey; THENCE southeasterly, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the northeasterly line of the T & P R.R. Co. Survey, to its southeast corner the northeast corner of the S. A. Hatcher Survey; THENCE south, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the east line of the S. A. Hatcher Survey, to its southeast corner, in the north line of the J. Bowman Survey; THENCE east, south, east and south along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the lines of the J. Bowman Survey, to the place of beginning and containing approximately .716 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends ordinance No. 4777, heretofore adopted and passed on June 3, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invlaid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the City of Fort Worth. That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained. Passed and adopted this ; day of �, 1963.
