BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
SECTION 1.
That Subdivision IIDrr of Section S of Ordinance No. 2666 be amended,
and, after being so amended, it shall read as follows
D. One year after the effective date of the Fund,; any
member of the Fund who has reached the age of sixty (60)
years and has been continuously employed by the City for
more than twenty-five (25) years may, at his option., retire
from the service of the City upon a retirement payment, as
hereinabove provided, based upon his age at retirement. Re-
tirement for all City employees, whether members or not,
shall be compulsory at the age of sixty-five (6'5), subject
to both of the following conditions
1. The employee may be permitted to
continue in the service if he so
desires; and
2. If his services are still valuable
to the City.
Whether or not the services of a member of the Pension;
Fund are valuable to the City after he has reached the age
of sixty-five (65) years shall be determined by the City
Manager and the head of his department, if he is under the
supervisionof the City Manager; otherwise, the determine-
tion sha ll, be made by the governing board of the department
its which he is employed. If the services of the member
have been found to be valuable to the City in the way and
mennor hereinbefore stipulated, such determination shall
be certified to the Pension Hoard and he'may continue= in
the service of the City as long as his services are valuable
to the City; provided, however, that there must be asps-
oific finding at least once each fiscal ,year thereafter of
the fact that his said services are valuable to the City
and prosper certification made to the Pension Board, and if
said finding of fact is Act made as herein provided, he
shall be automatically retired.

SECTION G
If any provision, section, part, subsection, sentence, clause
phrase or paragraph of this ordinance be declared invalid or uncon-
stitutional, the same shall not affect any other portion or provi-
sion bereof, and all other provisions shall remain valid and unaf-
fected by any invalid portion, if any, and the City Council now says
that if it had known at the time of the passage of this ordinance
that any portion of said ordinance was invalid it would not have
adopted such invalid part.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances re-
lating to retirement pension systems of the City of Fort Worth except
where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with the
provisions of those ordinances in which instance those provisions are
hereby expressly repealed..
SECTION 4..
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
